What is a Visco Memory Foam Mattress?

Below you'll find our brief explanation of what Visco Memory Foam Mattress material is, what natural rubber latex foam mattress material is, and a bit on why they are great materials for making mattresses. In the most basic sense, Visco Memory Foam does two things:

1. Provides "zoned" support by creating increasing resistance under increasing pressure. In other words, a Visco Memory Foam Mattress will feel soft as you press in with your fingers, but will support your hips and shoulders as you lay with your full weight on the mattress.
2. Visco Memory Foam is often simply referred to as "Memory Foam," since it will always return to its original shape. This is a great advantage versus traditional coil mattresses, which lose their shape and may even required to be flipped. A Visco Memory Foam mattress will always provide the same support that you feel on your first nights sleep.

Our line of Pure Touch mattresses are not made of Visco Memory Foam, but made of a natural rubber foam product that is a biodegradable product. The process for creating the rubber foam does not kill the rubber tree from which the product comes. The raw rubber sap is extracted from the tree much like the making of maple syrup, before it is processesed into a breathable and natural foam mattress bedding platform.
